KITE EDUCATION
As a public service, the club puts on kite flys with a short informatiive talk about kite history, flying safety, equipment needed and construction methods. These talks are available on request to groups like retirement homes, nursing homes, hospital rehabilitation departments, schools, clubs, etc. The main criteria is that the viewers must be physically able to be transported to the event location if necessary.
A good time to hold one of these flys is during National Kite Month in April of each year. Of course, the location has to be conducive to safe kite flying, and as most members work regular jobs, the time of day/week determines if any members are available to put on the event.
